Well this is the way i would go about it as from what i can gather from the thread. I repeat step 2, http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/102987/xamarin-forms-splash-screen-images-on-ios-with-images-from-resources .
Unfortunately, this won't let you use images within your resource directory. I tried the link above to find an answer and all it says is to locate the image in your resources, but I can't find a way to do this. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
That looks like a huge pain and I hope you realize that there is no need for it. If you're creating the app for iPhone or iPad, then you'll probably set the x Resolution to 320. The apps appear fine on the iPhone because iPhone natively uses the sdk provided resolution of 160. That way you don't have to create different sizes for iPad because the resolutions are the same. If you want to support multiple resolutions then you should definately use Image Files from your resources folder not from the XCode static image file that you created.
I noticed that there is a release for xamarin.android today. What about you PR because I am thinking about the Xamarin Form support for Android. I think that this framework is perfect for you because it is supported by you. d2c66b5586
