We reconstructed the original look and feel of "Who wants to be a millionaire" to make it as realistic as possibly possible. The PowerPoint template is designed to look like the screens in the show and even animates neatly. The cherry on top are the sound effects, which are also original and will get you in that perfectly focused quiz mood. Here you can see the result when you start the presentation (be sure to turn up the volume!):
To play the quiz, questions and answers must first be customized. If you want to enable your participants to participate with their smartphones (our recommendation!), then read on here. If you want to use the template without live interaction, you can find here a tutorial to customize it.
By downloading our template, you are pretty much ready to go. You can use the template as it is and just let the contestants shout out their answers. But especially when there's more than one participant we recommend playing the game with an interactive polling tool like SlideLizard , where your attendees can vote for the right answer with their phones. SlideLizard is directly integrated in PowerPoint, so it works perfectly with the template. Important: The game is meant to be played with your whole audience or a bigger group of people, not just one contestant. This is the reason why the money indicator goes up after every question: there will always be people who get the answer right, just like there will be some who get it wrong. Either way, the game is designed to be played until the end, so participants answer all 14 questions and the game ends at 1.000.000$. Counting the right answers has to be done manually for now. However, soon it will be possible to count the correct answers per attendee automatically, and show an overall ranking at the end.
If you don't feel like making up your own questions, that's not a problem! In a recent blog post we listed 50 great quiz ideas that you can simply add to our Who wants to be a Millionaire template to make the game even more fun: Creative Quiz Questions Ideas
In September 2001, British Army Major Charles Ingram apparently won the top prize in the UK Millionaire, but his flip-flopping on each of the final two questions raised suspicion of cheating. When the footage was reviewed, staff made a connection between Fastest Finger contestant Tecwen Whittock's coughing and Ingram's answers. The prize was withheld, and police were called in to investigate the matter further.
The format in the Play It! attraction was very similar to that of the television show that inspired it. When a show started, a "Fastest Finger" question was given, and the audience was asked to put the four answers in order; the person with the fastest time was the first contestant in the Hot Seat for that show. However, the main game had some differences: for example, contestants competed for points rather than dollars, the questions were set to time limits, and the "Phone a Friend" lifeline became "Phone a Complete Stranger" which connected the contestant to a Disney cast member outside the attraction's theatre who would find a guest to help. After the contestant's game was over, they were awarded anything from a collectible pin, to clothing, to a Millionaire CD game, to a three-night Disney Cruise.[123]
The game on WWTBAM is a series of multiple-choice questions that each have four possible answers (A,B,C,D). The contestant must answer 15 of these questions correctly, one at a time, in order to win the million dollars. As soon as the contestant answers a question incorrectly, the game is over.

The contestant must answer 15 multiple-choice questions correctly in a row to win the jackpot. The contestant may quit at any time and keep their earnings. For each question, they are shown the question and four possible answers in advance before deciding whether to play on or not. If they do decide to offer an answer, it must be correct to stay in the game.
Originally, the money tree involved 20 questions ranging from £10 to £5,242,880 (2^19 x 10). They also considered structures for £25 to £13,107,200 and £100 to £52,428,800. However, later audience research showed that people liked the concept of being a "millionaire" most and so the top prize was actually reduced.

Based on the famous TV show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is the free online trivia game, where participants answer a series of 15 questions that get progressively more difficult as each question is worth more prize money.
